西村画廊では、2011年12月13日（火）から2012年1月28日（土）まで、国内外の作家による版画とポスターのグループ展“GRAPHICS”を開催致します。

海外作家では、ジェラール・ティテュス=カルメル、デイヴィッド・ホックニー、ピーター・ブレイク、ブリジット・ライリー、ホルスト・アンテス、ポール・デイビス、リチャード・ハミルトン、リチャード・リンドナーといった、当画廊が開廊当初より紹介してきた作家による版画、サイン入りポスターなどを展示致します。

国内作家では、黒田アキ、小林孝亘、篠原有司男、辰野登恵子、田名網敬一、舟越桂、横尾忠則、町田久美などの版画を展示致します。
小林孝亘は、2002年から年の約半分を毎年過ごしてきたバンコクにおいて、同地では初めての個展を今夏に終えたばかりで、現在は名古屋ボストン美術館のグループ展「呼びとめられたものの光」に参加しています（～2012年2月19日）。この度の展覧会では、作家自身の分身として潜水艦が描かれた初期の作品をはじめ、これまで目に触れる機会の少なかった作品を多数出品致します。
舟越桂は、高知県の香美市立美術館（～12月18日）とロンドンのアネリー・ジュダ・ファイン・アート（～12月22日）で個展を開催中、グループ展「いわて美術の歴史展 -コレクションを中心に-」（岩手県立美術館、～12月11日）、「MOTコレクション 木の時間、石の時間」（東京都現代美術館、～2012年1月15日）、「抱きしめたい！-近代日本の木彫展」 （広島県立美術館、～2012年1月15日)に出品中です。また、今年9月に集英社より刊行した『彫刻家・舟越桂の創作メモ 個人はみな絶滅危惧種という存在』が大変な好評を得るなど、相変わらず多方面での活躍がつづいています。今展では、西村画廊発行による1990年制作のシリーズや2008年制作のスフィンクスのシリーズを中心に展示致します。
町田久美は、今夏にノルウェイのHa° gamle prestegard （フ・ガムレ・プラステゴー）で個展を開催しました。初の作品集も近々青幻舎から刊行予定と、今後もますますの活躍が期待されます。今回は、未発表のものを含む初期作品数点と最新作のシリーズを出品致します。

今展の特色は、これまで展示することの少なかった海外作家のポスターに光をあてていることで、デイヴィッド・ホックニーやピーター・ブレイク、リチャード・ハミルトンらのサイン入りポスターをはじめ、ポスターの分野でめざましい活躍を果たしてきたポール・デイビスの代表作の数々を一堂にご覧頂けるまたとない好機となります。

Nishimura Gallery is pleased to present “GRAPHICS” by Japanese and foreign artists from December 13th to January 28th.

This exhibition shows some prints and posters by foreign artists we have held a lot of exhibitions and introduced continuously from the foundation of the gallery.

In addition, we will show some prints by Japanese artists such as Kuroda Aki, Takanobu Kobayashi, Ushio Shinohara, Toeko Tatsuno, Keiichi Tanaami, Katsura Funakoshi, Tadanori Yokoo, Kumi Machida.
Takanobu Kobayashi’s solo first exhibition in Bangkok was held this summer. He is participating “CATCH THE LIGHT” Nagoya/Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Aichi. This exhibition shows his early prints and some unpublished prints.
Katsura Funakoshi’s solo exhibition is now showing at Kami City Art Museum, Kochi and Annely Juda Fine Art, London. He is participating “IWATE　Its History of Modern Art -Extracted from the Museum Collection-” Iwate Museum of Art, “MOT COLLECTION” Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo and “I wanna hold you! Modern Japanese Wood Sculpture: 19th century” Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum. This exhibition shows his etchings by Nishimura Gallery in 1990 and lithographs in 2008.
Kumi Machida’s solo exhibition was held at Ha°gamle prestegard, Norway this summer and will be held at Nishimura Gallery next March. In addition, a book of her paintings will be published by Seigensha next spring.
This exhibition shows her early prints and new etchings.
