略歴
Biography

1922	2月24日、英国、ロンドンに生まれる Born in London, England, on 24 February
1936	ウェストミンスター工科学院、セントマーチン美術学院で学ぶ Attends classes in art at Westminster School of Art and St Martin’s School of Art
1938-40	ロンドン王立美術学院（ロイヤルアカデミースクールズ）で絵画を学ぶ Studies painting at Royal Academy Schools, London
1956	ホワイトチャペルアートギャラリー「これが明日だ」展のポスター図録として最初のポップコラージュ“一体何が今日の家庭をこれ ほどに変え、魅力あるものにしているのか“を制作 The exhibition “This is Tomorrow” was held Whitechapel Art Gallery, London. Showed “Just what is it that makes today’s homes so different, so appealing?” This collage was conceived as catalogue illustration ad poster for this exhibition.
1963	マルセルデュシャンの「彼女の独身者たちによって裸にされた花嫁、さえも（大ガラス）」複製制作を開始 Reconstructed Marcel Duchamp’s “The Bride Stripped Bare by her Bachelors, Even (The Large Glass)”.
2008	高松宮殿下記念世界文化賞受賞 Awarded Praemium Imperiale in Japan.
2011	9月13日、死去 Passed away on 13 September
